To all roleplayers - I will be away until Wednesday evening from tomorrow (or actually this) morning. I am going to Graz, which has to do with a certain Count Dracula. And when I am back, I probably won't be able to think of anything else then a certain Herr Borchert. (Ahh, where are those wonderful days of Jekyll & Hyde ...) And probably I'll get inspired for some more highly dramatic events at the Cirkus-Cabaret, who knows?

Today I got a birthday-present from my best friend Tina - to put it more exactly - I got 28 little packages (that was one of the moments, when it is really fun to be 28 and when I would not mind being older then that ;-)] and they were filled with sweets, photographs, Cds (some nice musical-videos ...) and some wonderful drawings she made: among others of some of my own "Hexenkinder"-characters (the fantasy-novel I started with Nanowrimo and that has to be finished yet). Once I showed her some pictures of how i imagine them to look like more or less and now I have some painted postcards with my characters to look at. I must say it is highly motivating to have such nice pictures of Imas and Vári and Tabmo and Abrieh  to look at every time I am writing them.  Not to speak of the wonderful feeling, that another person painted my characters!
I must say when I invent characters I often don't know what they exactly look like. I mean, I know the colour of their hair and things like that, but it is not often that I know every line in their faces, though otherwise I know them pretty well.

Wonderful! You'll probably be reading this when you get back, eh?

I hope you have/had lots of fun! Which I'm sure you will. :D

And that's a pretty awesome way to give a birthday present! I might have to steal that idea. Do it while my friends are still young, lol.

Argh, I want to come with you. Have lots of fun, and tell us everything when you get back! I certainly don't mind reading about Herr Borchert. :D And have I already mentioned how extremely jealous I am that you got to see him as J/H? He's gorgeous in the musical, too bad there aren't many bootlegs of it going around.

The birthday present sounds great. I must remember the idea in case I don't come up with a present idea sometimes...

I wish I could come with you. But I hope you'll have fun! And if you can only talk about Herr Borchert when you get home - well, I will understand quite well. ;)

That sounds like a lovely birthday present! Need to remember that idea if I ever have trouble thinking up birthday presents. :D And that's a really lovely present with the pictures of your characters! I also often haven't got a very clear idea of what my characters look like, only a general vague picture, and slowly it perhaps clarifies itself. Though for my current novel it's a bit different, because somehow most of them ended up looking like musical actors. My heroine looks a lot like Szinetár Dóri, for example. Though as I've been writing, the appearances have been evolving slowly, so she doesn't look as much like Dóri as she did when I started. (And my evil seductive vampire looks like Máté, and that hasn't changed. It's just too suitable an appearance, even if blond guys are rare in France. *grins*)
